Windows Live Hotmailの受信メールをRSSでフィードできないか

Windows Live Hotmailで受信したメールをRSSで配信できないかと考えている。もちろん、サブジェクト（件名）さえあれば良い*1。そう、Gmailでは標準でサポートしている機能だ。RSSでフィードを配信してくれると、それをいろいろな形で利用することができる。

Googleで検索してみたところ、MSDNフォーラムで昨年同じような質問がされていたことを見つける。

という質問に対して、Windows LiveチームのTodd Biggsが次のように答えている。

I wish I had better news, but at this time there is no API (RSS or otherwise) available that would enable you to pull Hotmail (Windows Live Mail) subject headers or messages. It would be a pretty useful API however, especially when combined with notificiation scenarios.

結局「ない」とのこと。質問者はもう1度「いつごろになりそう？」と聞いているが、追加回答は無かったようだ。

ThunderbirdでHotmailが読めるくらいだから、自分で作ればできるんだろうけど、なんか楽にさくさくってできる方法はないものだろうか。実は、別に自分のためではなかったりするので、あまり努力したくなかったりする。もうちょっと考えてみよう。
